Faculty Head (Science and Health)

SALARY: L1 TO L4 OF THE SFCA LEADERSHIP SCALE CURRENTLY £49,756 PER ANNUM TO £53,010 PER ANNUM (DEPENDANT ON EXPERIENCE)

The College is seeking to appoint a Faculty Head (Science and Health) to successfully lead and manage the Science and Health Faculty.  This is a permanent position commencing January 2023 (or sooner if possible).

The post-holder will be responsible for leading on teaching, learning and assessment to ensure excellent outcomes for students.  This is a key managerial role, where responsibility lies for implementing whole College aims and policies in day-to-day activity, ensuring strong recruitment, high quality teaching, learning and assessment and clear communications through the faculty.  You will oversee a broad curriculum, ensuring the development and maintenance of effective learning.

In addition to the leadership and management role you will also be required to Plan and teach engaging and challenging lessons to enable our students to become effective, enthusiastic, independent learners. It is desirable that your main subject specialism will be A Level Biology with an ability to teach a variety of science subjects such as BTEC Applied science and Level 2 and 3 Forensics.
