Executive Director – People and Culture

North Warwickshire & South Leicestershire College is a leading provider of education and training to students, employers and communities across the East and West Midlands region. With an ambitious programme of development, set against strong industrial partnerships and class-leading infrastructure, the college is well placed to achieve its strategic ambitions and is seeking an Executive Director for People and Culture to help drive forward its people agenda.

Accountable to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer & Chief Operating Officer, with a direct line into the Principal & Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director will focus on building the existing workforce strengths and future people ambitions across the College and the Midland Academies Trust (an independent charitable organisation which the College sponsors).  The postholder will play a critical role in shaping and building a culture and work environment that is recognised as a great place to work.

You will be an individual who expertly combines a strategic oversight with a focus on the detail and takes an innovative approach to developing and leading cutting edge people practices.  To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has a proven track record of expertise and impact across all people, culture and organisational development areas, and you will have the drive to foster an amazing employee experience that delivers high levels of engagement.  Overseeing a talented team with a significant portfolio, you will be a rigorous, clear thinker and a sophisticated communicator, who will inspire trust and confidence in the HR function and wider organisation.

We are open to leadership experience from a range of settings, but it is important that you are adept at navigating organisational complexity and can bring a good awareness and knowledge of the opportunities and challenges within the education sector.
