Perth College UHI is one of Scotland’s leading Colleges of Further and Higher Education, and a large partner in Scotland’s youngest University, the University of the Highlands and Islands.

We are seeking an experienced, forward thinking and innovative Subject Leader in Computing. The Subject Leader will work extensively with the Sector Manager for Business, Management and Computing to support the leadership of the Computing curriculum. The successful candidate will possess significant practitioner experience and be able to demonstrate high level of student satisfaction and results in learning and teaching. A detailed understanding of Further and Higher Education in Scotland is also key. The ability to lead and support the team to provide excellent learning and teaching is central to this role particularly in this challenging time in our Sector. Student experience is key to our success and the Subject Leader will have a focus on this along with enhancing development of the curriculum to support economic recovery and crucially meet the needs of learners and industry stakeholders.

The Computing team delivers both full- and part - time programmes from SCQF level 5 through to Postgraduate study and is therefore an exciting and diverse curriculum area with opportunity for further growth. Partnership working is key in this role and the ideal candidate will understand the importance of this both internally and externally.

Experience of managing a team is desirable but it is critical that you have an excellent understanding of industry needs and are ready to review our curriculum to ensure it remains fit for purpose. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and be skilled at developing working relationships at all levels.
