International Advice and Compliance Officer

Main Location:          Sighthill Campus

Hours:                         Full time 35 hours per week

Edinburgh College is seeking an International Advice and Compliance Officer to offer specialist advice and support to international students on immigration, course progression and welfare issues. Reporting to the International Business Manager, you will advise college management on matters relating to visa compliance, immigration regulations and the college’s Student Sponsor status.

The successful candidate will be educated to SCQF Level 8 (e.g., HND level qualification). You should have recent experience of working with international students / non-native speakers in a frontline support environment, and experience of working in immigration advice and/or compliance.

You will have an understanding of current student visa regulations to a minimum of OISC Code of Standards level 1, and of general UK immigration rules and policy including other study visa routes. Strong communication skills, cultural awareness and IT skills are essential.

The successful candidate will be based at our Sighthill Campus but may be required to work at any Edinburgh College campus.
