This role is an exciting opportunity to join our high performing team, leading our growing Agricultural Engineering programme, having a positive impact on our students learning journey and contributing to the exciting growth of the Agricultural Engineering programme offer here at Plumpton College.

We are seeking an experienced Lecturer in the land-based sector who is looking to progress to Programme Manager level in their next role. The successful candidate will be someone who can continue the developments made to our offer and build on our successes. This is an opportunity to own and drive student experience, quality of Teaching & Learning while shaping the curriculum to best suit the needs of our learners.

This role ideally requires experienced Agricultural / Land Based Engineers who can possess technological know-how, industrial experience, teaching skills and problem-solving abilities to educate the next generation. You will adopt an innovative approach to programme management, enhancing our students experience to achieve high outcomes. You will work with external stakeholders to ensure valuable work-related skills and industry standards are maintain within the department.

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas: land based servicing, teaching & learning, project management & team leadership.  The ideal candidate will also possess the ability to demonstrate professionalism, commitment to hard work, confidence in their ability to lead staff and student teams, mutual respect for staff and students alike, be a team player and demonstrate a track record of outstanding teaching.

The curriculum attracts learners wishing to progress onto many careers in the Agricultural Engineering & Land based Sector including: Agricultural Service, Heavy Plant, Safety & Reliability, Maintenance & Repair.

This could be a great opportunity for industry professionals looking for a role or sector change and wanting to share their experience and skills with our learners; our trainee teacher programme offers a route for those who are new to teaching.
