The College is looking to recruit additional Invigilators to support our examinations.

Responsible for conducting a particular examination session in the presence of the candidates, Invigilators have a key role in upholding the integrity of the external examination and assessment process. Working across all of our campuses, you will support a wide range of qualifications, including full time, part time and evening courses.  Examinations can come in the form of a written paper, online, or a controlled assessment and take place throughout the year. Invigilators may be asked to support learners requiring a prompter, reader or scribe.

Successful candidates will have at minimum of five GCSE’s (grades A-C), including Maths and English or equivalent, along with good attention to detail and problem solving skills. With excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will be adaptable and have a willingness to travel between all sites and to provide evening/weekend support if required.  Experience of working in Education and knowledge of Examining Regulations are desirable.

Full training is provided.  Hours are worked in agreement, with at least two weeks’ notice.

Applications may be submitted in Welsh and will be treated no less favourably than applications submitted in English.  Gower College Swansea recognises the importance of delivering its services in Welsh and recognises the need to grow its bilingual workforce.  We therefore encourage applications from candidates who can demonstrate good Welsh Language skills

Gower College Swansea is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.  Appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and require registration with the Education Workforce Council for Wales.

Appointments will normally be made to the bottom of the salary scale with annual increments on 1st August each year (subject to completing 6 months service).

Byddwch yn gyfrifol am gynnal sesiynau arholiad ar gyfer ymgeiswyr. Mae goruchwylwyr arholiadau yn chwarae rôl allweddol wrth gynnal cywirdeb y broses arholi ac asesu allanol. Gan weithio ar draws pob un o’n campysau, byddwch yn cefnogi ystod eang o gymwysterau, gan gynnwys cyrsiau amser llawn, rhan amser a chyrsiau gyda’r nos. Bydd gennych sgiliau rhyngbersonol a chyfathrebu rhagorol, a byddwch yn addasadwy ac yn barod i deithio rhwng safleoedd y coleg i ddarparu cymorth gyda’r nos/ar benwythnosau, lle bo angen. Mae profiad o weithio ym maes Addysg a gwybodaeth am Reoliadau Arholi yn ddymunol. Darperir hyfforddiant llawn, cytunir ar oriau ymlaen llaw (o leiaf 2 wythnos).
