The government has established high-quality Institutes of Technology (IoTs) to provide employers with a skilled workforce and students with a clear route to technical employment. The Greater Birmingham & Solihull IoT (GBSIoT) specialises in Engineering and Manufacturing and is a consortium led by Solihull College & University Centre, Aston University and Birmingham City University, working alongside South and City College Birmingham as a core partner and supported by BMET College, University College Birmingham and the University of Birmingham. GBSIoT designs, develops and broadens education and training opportunities and responds to the skills needs of our regional employers.
We wish to recruit a receptionist who will be responsible for greeting clients and visitors to the new and prestigious GBSIoT Hub located on the Aston University campus.
This is a new role at an exciting time for GBSIoT with the opening of The Hub and we are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a zeal for customer service excellence.
Previous customer service experience is essential, experience of working on a reception is advantageous.
This is a full time role, working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday. The working pattern will be discussed at interview and the successful post holder will be required to work between 8.00am and 6.00pm. Some evening and weekend working will be required to support events at the Hub.
