Local College Director

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week.

A new, exciting and fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group, the role of Local College Director, who will oversee the College, with the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group.

About the role of Local College Director:

  • As a Local College Director, you’ll be a key member of the senior leadership team. Specifically, this role will involve:
  • Responsible for the overall senior leadership of the student experience at a designated Local College through collaboration with other departments across the College Group. 
  • Supporting the Group KPIs (as appropriate) through oversight of the College campus, establishing and meeting processes and procedures as required.
  • Taking a lead role in ensuring a learner journey is of the highest standard.
  • To periodically review the student support infrastructure to ensure it is responsive and meets student needs
  • Represent the College Group and Local College at appropriate local boards and external forums as required.
  • Act as the Local College lead on the student behaviour policy and expectations with oversight of processes and reporting to the overall Group lead. 
  • Respond to and resolve issues raised by stakeholders in relation to the Local College.

We are looking for the following skills and experience: 

  • A professional qualification or degree 
  • GCSE A*- C / 9 - 4 in Maths and English or equivalent
  • Experience of senior leadership in Further Education
  • The ability to deal with unforeseen situations and make decisions 
  • Experience of establishing and maintaining effective relationships across the group and externally
