Heavy Vehicle/Plant Mechanic & Workshop Coordinator

As a member of the Heavy Vehicle team, you will maintain all vehicles, tools, equipment, instruments and teaching aids to ensure safe and efficient functioning of learning programmes, including appropriate documentation. This also involves the setting up of various motor-vehicles and workshops for demonstrations, practical sessions and for assessment purposes.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Commercial team to plan logistics and resources for commercial delivery. You will also work to source and maintain rolling stock of appropriate vehicles for use in the workshop, and have a willingness to take on coordination responsibilities across the Motor Vehicle workshops and associated training for scheduling and resource planning.

The ideal candidate will be educated to a minimum of a Level 3 standard and possess a comprehensive range of Heavy Vehicle and Plant maintenance and repair experience. You will also possess good general workshop skills, including the ability to maintain and repair vehicles and various machinery. With excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a wide and diverse student population you will be passionate about motivating all learners.
