NFL Academy Head Coach (Fixed Term)

The NFL Academy is a major UK initiative by the NFL, which aims to use American football to create life-changing opportunities for young people. The NFL Academy offers student athletes aged 16-19 the opportunity to combine their education with a life skills programme and an intensive training in the sport, under the guidance of full-time professional coaches and performance staff.

Loughborough College, Loughborough University and the NFL have partnered together to deliver the NFL Academy, based in Loughborough from August 2022.

We are seeking to appoint an NFL Academy Head Coach to lead a high-quality player development programme. This role will lead and manage a team of coaches and involve close collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver an American Football programme that supports performance, education and character development. 

The Head Coach will be responsible for leading the NFL Academy Football programme and coaching team and along with the Head of NFL Academy Operations create a culture and environment that drives high performance.

The Head Coach will help prepare the NFL Academy team including athletes, coaches and support staff to compete in UK and International fixtures with leading teams from across Europe and the US.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team, to create a culture and environment that drives high performance. You will possess extensive coaching experience in American Football and have demonstrated your ability to lead players, coaches and support staff to achieve success.  The role will require flexible working patterns, with some evening/weekend work, as well as attendance at fixtures. Relocation support may be offered for this role.
