We are seeking to appoint a Head of Student Support, a pivotal role in the College responsible for safeguarding and support for mental health, disabilities and general wellbeing for students.

Operating within increasingly challenging environments for both Higher and Further Education, ideally you will have an extensive background across the breadth of student support in Higher and Further education, particularly in work related to mental health, and possess the combination of professional knowledge and managerial skill to ensure excellence in the delivery and development of services to our students in support of their learning journey from applicant to graduate.

With approximately 1000 students across our Higher Education programmes, as well as some 500 learners across Further Education courses, Plymouth College of Art is a long-established and ambitious specialist arts institute that recognises each student as an individual and puts their needs at the heart of every decision.

High student satisfaction, strong student engagement, and successful graduation and transition to professional careers all require a style of leadership that stems from a genuine desire to make a real and lasting difference and deliver an outstanding experience for all our students.  Equally important will be your collaborative approach and ability to build working relationships internally with students, academic colleagues, and leads in other service areas, as well as externally with specialists and stakeholders in both public and private sectors.

For an informal discussion about this appointment please contact the Registrar, Steve Trotter (email strotter@pca.ac.uk or telephone 07912936017).

Plymouth College of Art does not accept CVs in place of application forms.
