Lecturer – Adventure Performance & Coaching

West Highland College UHI is looking to recruit a School of Adventure Studies Lecturer. The role will involve the preparation, delivery, assessment and leadership of six modules at SCQF L8, 9 & 10 in the  BSc (Hons) Adventure Performance & Coaching Progamme.

The post involves delivering the modules at our Fort William Campus through lectures, tutorials and practical outdoor experiences. There is scope to also deliver a percentage of the material online if appropriate either live or through our virtual learning environment. This post will include two module leaderships, dissertation supervision and some student academic tutoring support. The Modules are mainly psychology and adventure coaching focussed with one sports nutrition module.

The suitable candidate will ideally be working in a similar role in Higher Education or above and have practitioner experience in Adventure Performance, Coaching and Psychology in a range of adventure disciplines.

Working Hours: 19.37 (average) hours per week, Permanent contract
