33 hours per week, 34 weeks per year (term time only)

You will be responsible for the supervision of staff, stock ordering and rotation and the preparation and service of food and beverage.  You will be required to maintain excellent standards of cleanliness completing daily cleaning schedules and undertaking any additional cleaning duties as required. 

With a strong customer service background you will constantly strive to improve customer service. You will have an excellent awareness of food hygiene and will be required to work within EHO, COSHH and Health & Safety guidelines, ensuring all Environmental Health regulations are met in the management and operation of the cafe.  An important part of the role is ensuring that all due diligence paperwork is correctly maintained, for example temperature records taken for refrigerators and stock is correctly rotated dated and labelled.

With supervisory experience and knowledge and understanding of the systems and procedures within a catering/food/beverage environment you will have cash handling experience with the ability to operate cash registers in line with departmental guidelines.

Appointments will normally be made to the bottom of the salary scale with annual increments on 1st August each year (subject to completing 6 months service).
