Electrical Assessor

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Trainer Assessor in Electrical to join our team here at North Lindsey College at Scunthorpe.  

Responsibilities will include the assessment of candidates against agreed Technical Certificates and Vocationally Related Qualification standards of competence using a range of assessment methods. 

The successful applicant must have previous experience gained from working within the industry and be qualified up to level 3 to assess at that level and below. TAQA/Assessor qualification and a good understanding of EAL or City & Guilds qualifications are desirable to be able to assess in the workplace on commencement of employment.

You will be responsible for the delivery of a case load of work which will include assessment and training activities, quality/audit compliance, student guidance and support and that appropriate developments are undertaken to support delivery against quality assurance, self-assessment processes, case load targets and objectives. 

You should have good communication skills, be able to work both independently and as part of a team and be fully committed to working with young people. 

Ideally you will be a qualified assessor holding an A1 or equivalent with experience working within the education sector monitoring apprentice progress however applications from those with relevant industry experience looking to move into education are also welcome.
