Part-time HPL Lecturer in Applied Biological Science

An opportunity has arisen within the applied Science team for Part-Time Visiting Lecturer on a fixed- term contract with possible renewal. This role is perfectly suited for an enthusiastic and flexible person.

Due to recent approval to run HNC/HND in Applied Science (Biology) within the College, we have a new opportunity to teach Applied Biological Science modules with additional admin hours to support students your delivery. We are looking for a passionate person to join our forward thinking team, teaching on our Applied Science courses at HNC/HND level. There may also be future opportunities to deliver other Applied Science modules at higher levels.
The successful candidate will join a small team within a newly established department where everyone is expected to maintain their current high levels of performance. The teaching and student support hours will be on Saturdays and other weekdays.
You will have an ability to promote, support and embed English and Maths skills within planning and delivery of your teaching. You should also be committed to providing prompt, detailed assessment of student work with experience of personal and online tutoring including target setting.
Relevant UK Bachelor & Master degrees or equivalent qualification and teaching experience will be required. A broad science knowledge with laboratory experience would be desirable although we are keen to hear from anyone with the right transferrable skills.
