Additional Learning Support Specialist tutor

Contract: 18.5 hours per week

We are seeking to appoint a qualified Additional Learning Support Specialist Tutor with experience of assessing and supporting learners 16-18, HE and Apprentices.

The successful candidate will hold a formal teaching qualification with additional qualifications around learning support, alongside a working knowledge of inclusive practice. Personal skills required for this position include the ability to manage own case load and work to deadlines. They will work with curriculum areas and individuals to ensure students who present with additional learning support needs have equal access to the curriculum and college life in general.

This position requires a high level of communication skills, both written and verbal, alongside an excellent understanding of supporting and writing support plans for learners presenting with different neurodiverse and/or medical or physical needs. The role will also include developing CPD for tutors around differentiating classroom activities and creating an inclusive classroom for all.
