HCUC (Harrow College and Uxbridge College) is a very high performing College with offering students an “outstanding quality of education” (Ofsted 2022). It is a large College with a high number of SEND students who study both on mainstream and bespoke programmes.
This exciting new position of Assistant Director – Foundation and Learning Support has been created to take responsibility for the SEND provision of Harrow College. You will direct the work of the School of Foundation and Learning Support, which includes bespoke provision for SEND learners as well as cross college SEND provision at Harrow College. You will also work closely with local authorities to ensure that students receive the best support so they can reach their potential. You will also have oversight across HCUC in relation to SEND funding, quality monitoring of student targets and training for staff on SEND.
You should be a SEND specialist and qualified teacher with experience of leading and managing a large department. You will have extensive knowledge and experience of funding and Additional Learning Support for high needs learners, and will be enthusiastic, proactive and an excellent leader.
