Electrical Installation Assessor

The Electrical Installation department wish to appoint a Trainer Assessor to deliver on a range of qualifications at levels 1, 2 and 3 both in the College engineering workshops and at employer premises. The role will include delivery and assessment of apprenticeship qualifications. 

We are also looking for people from industry and will support you to get qualified to become an Electrical Assessor and we will support you with all the financial support to become a qualified teacher, reduced timetable and support and mentoring on our Lets Teach programme.

You will be responsible for the delivery of a case load of work which will include assessment and training activities, quality/audit compliance, student guidance and support. You will ensure that appropriate developments are undertaken to support delivery against quality assurance, self-assessment processes, case load targets and objectives. 

The ideal candidate will be a time-served electrician with relevant industry experience in a range of disciplines including fault diagnosis, maintaining electrical installations, Testing and inspection of installations, electrical principles. 

Must hold a Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification 

Ideally you will be a qualified assessor holding an A1 or equivalent with experience working within the education sector monitoring apprentice progress however applications from those with relevant industry experience looking to move into education are also welcome. 

You should have good communication skills, be able to work both independently and as part of a team, and be fully committed to working with young people.
