Tutor Assessor Hair and Barbering

The Role:

The Job role consists of managing a caseload of apprentices within Hair and Barbering.

 You will be responsible for assessing apprentices both onsite and offsite developing their skills, knowledge and behaviors to prepare them for EPA (End Point Assessment).

You will deliver SKB onsite to a group of apprentices to support off the job hours Monday/Tuesday, and participate in planned CPD vocational and TLA to ensure you have up to date SKB.

Account manage employers to support business needs.

Complete regular progress review to develop learner progress, and complete assessment offsite in workplace in line with SKB.

Track and monitor progress though Learning Assistant and College systems.

Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment that supports learners to achieve high grades.

Develop rigorous sequencing plans to effectively scaffold learning prepare learners for EPA.

Develop competition activities and community projects to provide wider industry skills and World skills.

Requirements:

  • Relevant occupational qualification to NVQ Level 3, or equivalent.
  • Assessor Qualification (must achieve this within 12 months of commencement in post)
  • Quality Assurance qualification (must achieve this within 2 years of commencement in post)
  • PTLLS qualification (must achieve this within 2 years of commencement in post)
  • Experience of working with and understanding employer needs in respect of workforce development/skills development.
  • Knowledge or experience of delivering work-based assessment services.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience and identifying employer training needs to develop new and maintain existing business.
