The London College require a Principal (Non-Executive) to join their college.

Duties:

  • To engage with the College’s external and internal stakeholders
  • To participate in accreditation, approval, audit, monitoring visits from regulatory bodies, professional bodies, awarding bodies and organisations and other external stakeholders with the approval of CEO. 
  • To participate in the College’s activity and governance and play a key role as a stakeholder
  • To support the College in formulating and implementing its vision, mission, objectives and goals in consultation with the CEO.
  • To engage in and to support the College in meeting its internal and external Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • To participate in committee meetings as per the College’s governance structure
  • To act as a chair of the Academic Board
  • To participate in students’ inductions, graduation ceremonies, personal and professional development and other events as and when required
  • To create an engaging and stimulating environment in which both staff and students can thrive and fulfil their full potential
  • To periodically review and moderate, as appropriate, the College’s regulations, policies and procedures in consultation with the CEO.
  • To ensure and enhance students’ participation and inclusion in all aspects of the College
  • To promote and enhance the reputation of the College, particularly with local schools and other colleges and with external stakeholders from the industry, education and/or training sectors.
  • To arrange for and facilitate partnerships between the College and new awarding bodies and organisations in consultation with the CEO.
  • To arrange for and facilitate partnerships between the College and the industrial stakeholders
  • To undertake any other responsibilities that the Board of Governance/CEO may require or may be necessary for proper fulfilment of the role.
