CU Group is seeking a full-time Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of the Pre-sessional English (PSE) courses delivered on behalf of Coventry University. The PSE courses prepare international students to join their degree programmes through development of their academic language and skills.

CU Group is part of the wider Coventry University group and delivers academic and vocational degree programmes nationally and internationally on behalf of the University. It is a stimulating, diverse and enthusiastic organisation committed to delivering the very best experience for students and staff alike.

Coventry is one of the most culturally diverse university groups in the UK, with academic partnerships across all continents. Coventry University has a Gold Rating for Teaching Excellence (TEF) and was shortlisted for the University of the Year in the Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide (2021).

Overview of role

The Administrator will support the delivery of the PSE programmes and will contribute to the overall efficiency of all operational activities. Working under the direction of the Coordinator for these programmes, you will provide administrative support for a range of teaching and testing activities, maintaining accurate student records and complying with data protection requirements, monitoring student attendance and supporting compliance processes. You will also provide administrative support for enrolment and exams, deal with enquiries and communicate with students and other stakeholders, and support meetings and staff recruitment processes.

The PSE courses may be delivered face-to-face on CU Group campuses, in other locations, online or in a blended mode. The Administrator role may therefore include remote working depending on the current CU policies and UK government policies, although it is typically an office-based role.

This is a permanent full-time post. We are aiming for the appointed person to be in post as the earliest opportunity, preferably by 4th April if possible.
