CU Coventry is significantly investing in our teaching and learning strategy and in substantial campus estates development. We have recently been ranked as 13th UK University and the country’s top modern university, according to the Guardian University Guide 2019.
Health and Life Sciences has an outstanding reputation for teaching and learning. In particular, 94% of our graduates are in employment or further study within six months of graduating. We are firmly focused on preparing students for successful careers, in the context of industry’s current and future demands.
We require a member of staff with the ability to teach across the Foundation Year Applied Bioscience, Foundation Year Nursing and Allied Health Professions, and BSc Applied Biosciences, within the Health and Life Sciences area. You will be taking on the tutor role, and teaching on, an expanding and developing curriculum provision. This is therefore an ideal opportunity to become a valued team member.
Applicants should have a minimum of a Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree with significant industry experience in a relevant area of Biosciences. Experience of teaching and supervising students is essential, possession of a recognised teaching qualification would be preferable (or willingness to gain one). Experience of employer engagement is also preferable.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter and an inspirational teacher, and be able to communicate with students, tutors and academia at all levels.
Duties include delivery and co-ordination of modules, a teaching element and employer liaison.
The ambition to succeed in a competitive arena is essential with a focus on creating an outstanding academic student experience.
