Lecturer In Sport (0.36 FTE)

It is a friendly, diverse and vibrant place to work where students and the local community are at the heart of everything we do.  We have an opportunity within our Sport & Public Services Department for a Lecturer in Sport with the skills and knowledge to teach on our football related programmes from Level 1 to level.

You will be required to provide high quality teaching, learning and assessment for all students/clients to support the mission, aims and strategic objectives of the College. Within this role you will be required also to teach on Sport related programmes from 14-16, to Level 3.

A first degree in the area of sport, together with a teaching qualification and experience of teaching on programmes in this area up to an including level 3 is essential.  You should also have substantial experience of coaching youth football, hold as a minimum a level 2 FA Football Coaching qualification and hold or be working towards, a UEFA B Licence.

This role is a part-time, term time only for 8 hours per week however depending on skills and experience, we have the potential to offer additional hours to candidates interested in supporting learners enrolled on our ‘Catch-Up’ programme. This entails delivery of catch-up sessions to small groups who require additional tuition/support. Your interest, suitability and availability for Catch-Up hours will be discussed with you at interview.
