We are looking for Learning Support Assistants to join our central Learning Support team, providing support to a diverse mix of students.
We are looking for Learning Support Assistants to complement our current team.
There are part-time and full-time positions available. All are term-time only. For continuity, we do require candidates to work full days.
Are you looking to work Monday to Wednesday or prefer breaks in the week and can work alternate days?
Do you have Functional skills level 2 in Maths & English or GCSE grade 4 or equivalent?
Do you have experience working with young people?
Are you keen to contribute to successful learning outcomes for our students by supporting them in their learning?
Experience in an education setting is desirable but not essential.
The core daily hours of this post are 09:00 to 16:30 Monday to Friday.
Our Learning Support Assistants are key to student success at the College.
Our aim is to engage our young people to develop their skills, confidence and independence in order to allow them to pursue their chosen area of interest and enable them to reach their potential.
Our Learning Support Assistants support students in a wide variety of settings, including practical environments as well as the classroom. The support is provided across all vocational skills areas.
Our Learning Support Assistants are role models; promoting positive values and attitudes and supporting Lecturers to manage appropriate College behaviour.
Successful candidates will have:
- Functional skills level 2 in Maths & English or GCSE grade 4 or equivalent
- A desire to support young people to reach their full potential
- Experience working with young people in an equivalent setting
- The motivation to make a difference to student outcomes at the College
