WHAT WE DO 

We are looking for a self motivated individual to lead our curriculum intent and delivery team for our specialist 14-16 provision at Mabgate community.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • You will ensure that the curriculum intent meets the needs of a diverse range of SEMH needs Ensure that the curriculum team are suitability training and skilled in delivering the offer Drive the team to have a consistent approach to dealing with behaviour.
  • You will ensure we meet all internal deadlines and targets Network with other SEMH providers to improve and develop the offer.
  • You will provide an outstanding service and curriculum offer and support the team to provide the same.
  • You will manage activities and strategies to ensure the high retention, achievement, success and attendance rates for identified courses are reached.
  • You will lead activities to ensure effective planning, preparation & development of schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching & learning resources including the development of on-line learning resources for identified courses is being undertaken.
  • You will manage the recording of student progress and to ensure that individual and group learner targets are being met.
  • You will lead and manage both external and internal quality assurance processes.
  • You will ensure that effective Induction programmes are in place for student and staff. General summary of role.
  • You will lead and manage the Mabgate Community campus of Leeds City College within the Luminate Education Group.
  • You will work collegiately with the Director of Inclusive Provision and SEND and the College Leadership Group, provide professional leadership and strategic management.
  • You will be the Safeguarding Lead.
  • Services and outcomes; Learning & Development through cycle of planning, review & evaluations.
  • You will lead and motivate staff to improve and raise standards, through a balance of vision, support, challenge and professional development.
  • You will contribute to the development of the Luminate Education Group.
  • You will possess a sound knowledge of business planning, use this to ensure value for money in all resources including teachers and co-professionals.
  • You will oversee the deployment of the team across multiple sites (where applicable) to best support student learning in their technical and vocational qualifications.
  • You will manage the assessment of students based upon EHCP (where relevant), school and local authority data.
  • You will oversee the admissions process, ensuring safe and well-managed transitions from referring provision to the Mabgate Community campus.
  • You will sustain the highest high standards of teaching and pastoral professional practice.
  • You will ensure all policies are adhered to.
  • You will ensure, through rigorous oversight that all student records are current, accurate and confidential.
  • You will coach and mentor teaching and co-professional staff.
  • You will oversee referrals, liaise with other external agencies.

YOUR PROFILE 

We are a specialist SEMH provider for children aged 14-16. We receive referrals from local school and the local authority. Many of the children (approximately half) have and EHCP but all have an SEMH need. The young people generally have a trauma within their lives, and we are working on a trauma informed model to provide bespoke education to support their development into adulthood and progress. We are based at the Mabgate Campus
