Based at our Harrow Weald campus, our Foundation Studies section is a well-established area of the College, and offers provision and support for students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities.  We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed professional to teach on a range of programmes for learners with PMLD, LLD, SLD and Autism. Classes will be both mixed in age as well as ability and learning needs. You may teach learners with ASD/ELD and/or complex needs learners according to your specialism.

You will need to have a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area and at least 3 years’ experience of teaching learners with ASD, SLD and PMLD.  You will have experience of developing the curriculum and course evaluation, and good working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.  You should either possess or be willing to work towards an advanced level teaching qualification (DET, PGCE) which will be supported by the College.

The College has recently introduced a Working from Home policy. You may be able to work a proportion of your work time from home. Working from Home may be possible where this does not adversely impact on the operational needs of the College.
