18 hours per week, term time only (fixed term post until July 2022)

We are seeking to appoint a part time Work Experience Co-ordinator.   You would be responsible for identifying new work experience opportunities with employers willing to work with ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) students and students with Learning Disabilities. You will collate information centrally on existing work experience placements and supporting course teams in preparing students for work experience. You will liaise with actual and potential work experience providers, Foundation’s Employment Coach, academic managers, teaching staff and students.

We are seeking someone with good administrative skills including working with databases and good IT skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.  You will have excellent communication skills with good attention to detail, and will be able to work flexibly and on your own initiative.   Experience of working with learners with ESOL needs and learning difficulties/disabilities would be desirable but not essential.  A full, clean driving licence and your own personal transport is highly desirable, as the role will involve visiting employers in the local area.
