We are seeking a high performing, Assistant Principal to lead on our safeguarding and wellbeing strategy. The postholder will be based at St James Academy and join a well established and highly effective Senior Leadership Team. In this key role, the Assistant Principal will lead on a critical aspect of our provision and contribute to the further development and improvement of the academy.

You will join a team of practitioners with the purpose of continuing to raise standards in all aspects of our provision: teaching and learning, behaviour and attendance. You will play an active part in developing school improvement strategies and developing a first class, innovative education offer which meets the requirements of learners, parents and the Trust.
You will be an outstanding role model, capable of inspiring others to aim for the highest standards. You will have the opportunity to further develop our highly effective values driven expectations (VDE) behaviour model both at academy and Trust levels. You will also work with teaching staff and associate staff in a trainer or mentor capacity to develop their practice and to ensure a high level of consistency in our implementation of VDE.
