The Centre for Mountain Studies is based in Perth, at Perth College UHI, one of the largest academic partners of the University of the Highlands and Islands. We are looking for a Research Associate, to work on the ongoing CULTIVATE project, working on all aspects of project development and implementation. The aim of CULTIVATE is to understand the role of cultural heritage and cultural narratives in shaping sustainable communities and landscapes and we seek a candidate with relevant interest and expertise

To succeed in this exciting role, you will have undertaken PhD research in a relevant discipline and be able to demonstrate research competence. We are looking for someone who will contribute to, develop and submit successful proposals for research and consulting project opportunities to generate external income. Excellent communications skills and a strong interest in knowledge exchange are also important.

You will represent the Centre to both internal and external stakeholders and have the opportunity to engage with postgraduate students

Your place of work will be Perth College UHI but during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic you will be working from home.

This post undertakes regulated work with children and a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme check is required. A check will be made against the list of those barred from working with children.
