WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide cross college leadership and co-ordination of work experience and student volunteering opportunities to develop student employability skills, exceeding agreed performance targets
- With the Transnational and Work Experience Manager, work with curriculum teams to agree an annual delivery plan for work experience and transnational placements as an integral component of curriculum planning
- Develop innovative models for planning and delivery of work experience activity
- Lead and performance manage a team of work experience co-ordinators to source and risk assess work experience placements
YOUR PROFILE
Significant experience of further education or employer-based work related learning and an understanding of how employability training contributes to student achievement and progression. Sound knowledge of work placement processes and health and safety risk assessments Knowledge and understanding of the further education curriculum and post 16 study programme Experience of liaison with employers to secure placements and other opportunities Experience of leading teams and activities, and mentoring, coaching or supporting staff Understanding of the diversity of the student body and the impact of individual difference on career and learning choices Experience of planning and delivering education or employability projects Knowledge of relevant IT software including Microsoft, Google, MIS and CRM systems and experience of setting up and running effective administrative processes Experience of using social media as a learning tool
