WHAT WE DO 

This is an exciting time to join us as our area covers Estates and Capital Projects which includes Health, Safety and Environment Team, the Campus Facilities Team, Property and Maintenance Team and Capital Projects Team. Between us all we service the estates across the whole of the Luminate Group.  As well as undergoing a significant change to enable future growth, we are embarking in a growth programme to create a number of new campuses over the next five years which will help us to meet the needs of our students and sustainability.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will assist in:

• Design of sustainable Mechanical & Engineering solutions for our existing and new campuses that meet and exceed our sustainability agenda
• Design review of Capital works Mechanical & Engineering proposals
• On-site inspections of existing and new buildings to ensure m service capability matches or exceeds design parameters
• Mechanical & Engineering condition surveys & reports (especially regarding life cycle surveys)
• Review of Operational & Maintenance information and certifications.

YOUR PROFILE 

You must have:

• A minimum of a HNC / HND in either Engineering, Mechanical , Electrical
• Member of a relevant professional body
• Relevant post qualification experience
• Demonstrable experience of undertaking a broad range of building surveyor duties
• You will also have experience of project design, project management, estimating and ideally of an Estates background, or Capital Projects
• Good understanding of the statutory applications required as part of Construction works.
• Knowledge and awareness of construction works within buildings containing asbestos.
• Experience of producing drawings with and working alongside the design manager and projects team.
• Experience of using AutoCADA/I/PEEK8 would be an advantage, but training can be offered
• Have demonstrable and knowledge of Building surveys in regards to electrical and mechanical works and life cycle management processes.
• Ideally have HV experience
