WHAT WE DO 

The Student Life directorate leads on activities and strategies which contribute to an outstanding further education student experience closely aligned with the college and group strategic objectives.

We work closely with curriculum departments on themes of personal development, behaviour and attitude (PDBA) and equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI).

We directly deliver services to students including careers, work experience, progression, safeguarding, welfare, mental health and wellbeing, student enrichment, student voice,  student funds and food services.

We work with curriculum departments, internal and external stakeholders to support the development of staff, who support students.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

This role has diverse responsibilities, including structuring and coordination of the student life central team functions, working closely with the leadership team to drive forward the work of the directorate, leading the communications and marketing for the directorate and designing and leading innovative projects which engage students and remove barriers to learning.

You will develop and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships and maintain day to day communications with student life teams

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-starting colleague who will develop and lead diverse work streams managing multiple projects and consolidating the enthusiasm and support of others.

You will share our values base which is built on equality and diversity, strong relationships, restorative practice and inclusion, which underpins our purpose.

You will provide a systematic approach to structuring and monitoring the work of the directorate and will communicate effectively providing support and challenge.  This approach helps us all be more effective in our practice.

Strong communication skills, a passion and energy to drive change and promote new and innovative opportunities, means you will promote the work of the directorate and facilitate opportunities which demonstrate our commitment to the personal and professional development of the directorate teams

There is no change to immigration and right to work for British and Irish Citizens.
