Job Description
Lecturing on Sensors and Control at level 6 degree courses, setting exams and coursework assignments. Good knowledge of Matlab is essential. Plan a program of study that meets the academic requirements. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and is developmentally appropriate to the maturity and interests of all students. Employ a variety of teaching techniques and resources consistent with best practices, specific content knowledge, the physical limitations of the space provided, and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved. Plan and deliver a suitable Assessment Programme ensuring marked work meets the quality and standard requirements. Utilise diagnostic assessment tools to identify learning strengths and needs of every student. Participate in Interval Verification requirements. Take the necessary and reasonable precautions to assure safety in the classroom and the College for all students. Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by the College. Implementing College policies and procedures governing student life and conduct. Making provision for being available for students support when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms. Maintain and improve professional relationships with colleagues. Actively participate in all professional development opportunities including relevant industrial updating
Qualifications Required
UK Bachelor and Masters` degree in Instrumentation & Control or equivalent qualification or holding relevant professional qualification. Intensive teaching experience at undergraduate degree level is essential. Excellent time management skills. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. The ability to prepare written and visual teaching materials including the effective use of Information Learning Technology, eg Virtual Learning Environment, Power-Point supported by key software.
