Agriculture students at Moulton College make use of an extensive range of practical resources as an important part of their course. These include nearly 500 hectares of commercially farmed estate on a range of soil types.

The arable enterprise includes a variety of crops including wheat, oats, oilseed rape, forage maize, lucerne and grass. With sheep and beef livestock enterprises, the College also has an extensive range of agricultural machinery and specialist workshops for machinery maintenance.

Duties will include the teaching and training of students and other client groups to quality standards set by the college, tutoring and management of one or more courses or groups of students, along with development of agricultural courses. Further requirements of this role will be to participate in internal verification, auditing and other quality monitoring processes to ensure learners, customers and clients receive exemplary service.

Ideally you will have an in depth knowledge of crops and soil science and be educated to HNC level or have equivalent vocational experience within an agricultural discipline. You will have a genuine passion for arable farming and the latest developments in the sector. You may also hold a range of additional qualifications such as NPTC in Tractor Proficiency, PA certificates or safe telehandler operation certificates. You will also hold or be prepared to work towards and achieve a Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Certificate in Education), have obtained a minimum of grade C or equivalent in GCSE English & Maths, and are committed to, and have evidence of CPD.
