The Leicestershire College is seeking an enthusiastic, creative and innovative Learning Technologist to join its Digital Learning team. The successful candidate will be pro-active and have experience in working within the education or training sector to support distance and blended learning projects and the use of digital technologies and pedagogies.

The College is implementing its new Digital Learning Strategy to ensure technology-enhanced learning is an integral part of the curriculum. The Digital Learning team have recently launched the Digital Learning Pathways programme to support the development of staff digital skills and is currently building a Staff Helpdesk to complement its Student Helpdesk. It has also invested heavily in emerging technologies to support Education 4.0 and help staff prepare their students for Industry 4.0.

Working in the Digital Learning team, you will be involved in the preparation and delivery of training and events to support the enhancement of teaching, and the design and development of innovative solutions to enhance the learning experience of our students.

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree, professional qualifications in IT/Technology, Maths and English qualifications and ideally a teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one). Experience of content development packages along with multimedia and design technologies is essential to the role, as is experience of supporting staff with the effective use of online platforms e.g., VLEs (Virtual Learning Environments) and Microsoft Teams.
