Assessor vacancies in Early Years

We have a range of posts and contract hours available for the right candidate who has the drive, skills, abilities, and qualities to make a real difference to our learner’s progress.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to give additional support to our students at this critical time in their education.

Government funding through the 16-19 Tuition Fund has been provided to FE Colleges to support students in this academic year who have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdowns.

At Oldham College, we know that no two people are the same and that some need a little more help than others. That’s why we are accessing the 16-19 Tuition Fund. This is a government initiative used to provide small group tuition sessions in English, Maths, and other courses where learning has been disrupted as a result of COVID-19.

The successful candidates will support the tutors and work with small groups of learners within the three programme area within the Faculty of Caring Professions. The main focus will be to support and mentor learners with their vocational and/or academic qualifications and developing their wider skills to achieve and progress.

This will include working with learners to identify areas for their improvement, developing their skills and knowledge relevant to their qualifications such as written work, practical skills development, organisation skills, revision, essay writing, enhancing their examination technique and maintaining their motivation and confidence in the subject.

You will need to be competent and confident in supporting learners in learning and progressing, be able to quickly build rapport with them, and keep accurate records of attendance and progress.

You will work collaboratively with the curriculum teams who will support you in this role.

If you have the drive, skills, abilities, and qualities to make a real difference then we would like to hear from you.
