The College is seeking a qualified, committed and highly motivated individual to provide maternity cover on the College’s 14-19 Schools Programme. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded, flexible person willing to teach a range of practical sessions across the curriculum.

You will deliver a range of units on the Level 1/2 programme which supports learners aged 14-19. Many of the learners are disengaged from traditional learning environments and come to college to experience vocational learning. Some of them are at risk of becoming NEET.  

The successful candidate will possess excellent classroom management skills coupled with the tenacity, commitment and patience to deal with a range of Learners. A sense of humor and a positive attitude are essential attributes required for this post.

. As a clear and confident communicator, you will have the ability to motivate students and to create a positive learning environment and support a learner’s potential. You may also be required to undertake a personal tutor role.

 You will develop and employ a variety of teaching and learning strategies, including the effective use of ILT, to ensure excellence and the achievement of course targets for retention and attainment

You will be qualified to degree level with solid experience of working in a relevant role, preferably with experience of teaching on a vocational programme.
