Perth College UHI is one of Scotland’s leading Colleges of Further and Higher Education, and a large partner in Scotland’s newest University, the University of the Highlands and Islands.

We are looking to build a bank of lecturing staff who have experience of teaching in the following subject area:

Horticuture

We are looking for experienced Construction Trades people to join our growing team to support the teaching of Built Environment programmes, including Plumbing, Electrical, Joinery and Horticulture. The campus is well resourced to deliver a first-class learning experience with a well-balanced mix of lecture theatres, classrooms, laboratories and training workshops.

As a lecturer within your specialisation, you will be responsible for: preparing materials for learning, teaching and assessment; for the teaching of theory and practical aspects; supervising student project work; and contributing to the development of the UHI programmes in Built Environment. Opportunities for personal development are available through the UHI and at other universities.

Candidates should as a minimum hold a level 3 qualification in the subject area. You will also have practical industrial experience in the relevant area and be familiar with appropriate sector practices and methods.

In addition, you should be a well-motivated, self-starter with good communication skills who is able to work effectively with a team.
