We are seeking a self-motivated individual to make a significant contribution to a team of staff delivering courses to our Animal Welfare students. This is an exciting opportunity for the post holder to be involved in increasing our Level 2 Dog Grooming provision, with the aim of growing this further to offer other grooming qualifications. The post holder will be responsible for managing the Dog Grooming provision and be actively involved in the curriculum planning for 2022-23.

Working days will be Monday to Wednesday based on current requirements.

Duties will include the teaching and training of students and other client groups to quality standards set by the college, tutoring and management of one or more courses or groups of students, along with development of dog grooming courses. Further requirements of this role will be to participate in internal verification, auditing and other quality monitoring processes to ensure learners, customers and clients receive exemplary service.

The post holder must have a broad range of knowledge and industry experience in Dog Grooming and hold a Level 2 and ideally also a Level 3 Dog Grooming qualification. The candidate should ideally hold a teaching/assessor qualification or be willing to work towards this.

You will also hold or be prepared to work towards and achieve a Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Certificate in Education) and assessor qualification, have obtained a minimum of grade C or equivalent in GCSE English & Maths, and be able to demonstrate your commitment to ongoing CPD.
