WHAT WE DO
We are based at our new Campus at Quarry Hill and are part of the School of Creative Arts. The team support learners studying Creative Arts to develop their English skills and progress in their chosen area. We are looking for an experienced, innovative and passionate English Course Leader who can deliver GCSE and Functional Skills to both 16-18 and adult learners and lead a team of English teachers. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, have experience of team leadership and supporting students in order to achieve and progress in their desired career.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- This role involves designing an innovative SOL for a team of English teachers, leading on assurance processes and delivering engaging English sessions to both 16-18 and adult learners of varying ability
- You will work closely with the Programme Manager of English to lead on the progress of an identified cohort within the School of Creative Arts
- You will work closely with the English team to lead, inspire and create new learning opportunities for our learners
YOUR PROFILE
- The ideal candidate will have a recognised teaching qualification and experience of delivering English GCSE & Functional Skills in an FE setting
- You will have experience of leading a team, designing SOL, leading on the department's IAP and have the strategies and skills to help students within an identified cohort achieve their full potential
- Enthusiasm, resilience and a positive outlook are important
