Perth College UHI is one of Scotland’s leading Colleges of Further and Higher Education, and a large partner in Scotland’s newest University, the University of the Highlands and Islands.

We are seeking an appropriately qualified and experienced person to undertake the post of Transitions Officer. The role resides within the Student Services Professional Services area and the New Opportunities and Social and Vocational Studies curriculum area. 

The ideal candidate will be educated to HND level and have experience in a similar role/or have experience of working within a student support setting. 

This is a key role, and one that involves working closely with both external and internal stakeholders. These include, internal departments, local schools,

external agencies and organisations to ensure our most vulnerable and disadvantaged students receive appropriate support and provision for their transition into and through college. 

The role is also part of an effective local community partnership around early intervention and the GIRFEC agenda; helping support successful transitions for students with a wide range of support needs; from formally diagnosed conditions to those with more emotional or personal issues and difficulties.

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and a real commitment to provide first class support to a diverse range of applicants and students.
