Gower College Swansea is seeking to appoint highly skilled and motivated individuals to the position of Academy Pitch-side Sports Therapist on a casual, part-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the pitch-side medical provision for the college academy squads including rugby, netball and football, supporting games played on Wednesday afternoons and where necessary, leading weekly therapy clinics.  This role will require exceptional organisational and communication skills working closely with the Performance Sport co-ordinator and lead coaches for the respective academies.

With a BSc degree in Physiotherapy/Sports Therapy (or equivalent) and registration with the appropriate governing body (HPC and CSP), you will have experience of providing medical provision in sport environments where there is a risk of acute incidents and ideally have specific Pitch-side First Aid qualifications.  The successful candidate will have current or previous experience working within a multidisciplinary team.

Strong administration skills and knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation are important.  This role requires flexibility and the ability to work outside normal office hours and in various locations.

Appointments will normally be made to the bottom of the salary scale with annual increments on 1st August each year (subject to completing 6 months service).
