WHAT WE DO 

We are introducing the post of Safeguarding Training and Development Coordinator to join our central Student Life directorate. We take our safeguarding responsibilities seriously and promote a culture of vigilance throughout the group, underpinned by restorative approaches to student safety, wellbeing and behaviour. The directorate of Student Life leads on personal development, behaviour and attitudes of all our students, which includes safeguarding, wellbeing, careers, progression, work experience and student engagement. and range of exciting projects and initiatives. Our work is values driven and we work collaboratively to contribute to a great student experience with huge aspirations for every individual. We are champions for safeguarding, wellbeing and social mobility.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Bring passion and commitment along with both a robust and restorative approach, working with the Head of Safeguarding and Wellbeing to ensure safeguarding throughout the Luminate Education group is beyond effective
  •  Developing strong and effective relationships with Designated Safeguarding Leads throughout the Luminate Education Group to share and develop good practice
  • Develop and facilitate safeguarding related workstreams and projects working with leaders and engaging students, staff and external stakeholders
  • Lead on quality assurance of safeguarding practice throughout the group

YOUR PROFILE 

  • You will have a passion for improving the lives of our students along with an in depth knowledge and understanding of the full range of safeguarding issues in education and wider society, coupled with significant experience of design, coordination and delivery of training
  • You will be a self-motivated and inspiring emergent leader with highly effective communication and influencing skills and the ability to engage with staff throughout the group
  • Your practice will demonstrate Luminate values including restorative and relational approaches and ability to relate to students, staff and stakeholders

This role will require some lone working.

SAFEGUARDING

  • Prohibition check for all staff entering teaching related roles

If you are an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen and you were resident in the UK on or before 31 December 2020, you have until 30 June 2021 to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme, you can continue to prove your right to work in the UK with your passport and identity card up until 30 June 2021. 

There is no change to immigration and right to work for British and Irish Citizens.
