Plymouth College of Art is seeking to appoint an Academic Skills Coach with particular focus on supporting small groups of learners from disadvantaged backgrounds.

This fixed-term post will ensure the continued success of our Academic Skills programme which includes Functional Skills and GCSE qualifications as part of a dedicated Academic Skills team.  You will be able to demonstrate the ability to support the learning experience and inspire learners’ interests in exploring Maths and English whilst working with the Academic Skills team to provide innovative learning and teaching that engages learners. You will be exceptionally motivated and experienced in supporting small groups of learners from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Plymouth College of Art delivers English and Maths in a way that develops and enriches the professional skills of creative students by embedding these skills holistically, in both studio practice and in stand-alone sessions.

This role will contribute to the continued success of our Extended Diploma provision in our Pre Degree centre, Palace Court, housing a unique educational experience for 500 students.
