Pembrokeshire College has an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer to join our Health, Childcare & Commercial Enterprises Department.  If you are interested in passing on your knowledge and experience to the next generation, or have an interest in moving into teaching, this is an excellent chance (which could potentially be worked around current commitments) to gain experience and access to other working opportunities.

Salary Details:
Scale ALS1 - ALS4 (£21,136 - £24,943 pro rata) equivalent of £18.75 - £22.13 per hour – without teaching qualification
Scale MG1 - UP1 (£26,911 - £38,680 pro rata) equivalent of £23.87 - £34.33– with teaching qualification
Please note, the hourly rates stipulated above applies to the part-time variable hours contract

Hours of Work: 
30 hours per week / 668 annual teaching hours
We are ideally looking for one individual to undertake this role, although consideration would be given for appropriate applicants to undertake the role on part-time job share basis.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • You will be qualified to Degree level or equivalent in an appropriate discipline and ideally you will have relevant industry experience within the Health & Social Care field.
  • If you do not already hold an appropriate teaching qualification such as, PGCE you may be required to undertake and achieve this during your employment, dependent on the length of contract offered and number of hours undertaken.
  • Ideally you will also have experience of either teaching or training, particularly young adults.
