HCUC (Harrow College and Uxbridge College) is the largest college provider of apprenticeships in West London.  Our new Technical Apprenticeship School has been created to ensure the College is maximising new employer focused opportunities in key sectors, encompassing engineering, construction and digital, and ensure successful apprenticeship provision and future growth.

As Section Manager, you will be responsible for the curriculum management of Building Services across the Technical Apprenticeship School.  Building effective working relationships with employers and external bodies, you will maximise apprentice/learner retention and timely achievement, ensuring the highest standard of quality assurance.  You would teach on a range of programmes according to your specialism and line manage a team of lecturers and assessors.

Qualified to level 3 in Building Services, Electrical Installation or Plumbing, and with a teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g. Cert Ed, DET), you will possess at least 3 years’ experience in teaching or assessing, with experience of meeting targets and ensuring successful outcomes.   You will need to have experience of delivering apprenticeships in either Electrical Installation or Plumbing, together with the ability to engage and lead a team of people to achieve success.

The College has recently introduced a Working from Home policy. You may be able to work a proportion of your work time from home. Working from Home may be possible where this does not adversely impact on the operational needs of the College.
