We are looking for an experienced Small Animal Hydrotherapist.
Experience in a Veterinary practice is preferred, although not essential.
- Do you hold a Level 3/4 in Small Animal Hydrotherapy, including Treadmill?
- Do you hold a Canine First Aid Certificate or have industry experience of Canine First Aid?
- Are you trained as a Pool Plan Operator or are willing to work towards this?
Are you looking for a part-time role to fit around other commitments? We do require the candidate to be available on a Wednesday and do not have requirements on a Thursday. The other two weekdays are flexible from Monday, Tuesday or Friday.
A commitment and robust approach to health and safety, animal welfare and experience with pool water management are essential.
In addition to providing treatment to animals as a result of vet referrals you will also be involved in delivering practical sessions to students studying in this area to help them develop their skills and expertise.
The pay rate for the hours provided giving practical instruction increases to between £15.11 - £18.84 per hour.
You will also be responsible for developing the resources to ensure they meet the needs of the curriculum.
Promotion and marketing of the services and courses will also be part of this role.
Applicants will hold a minimum of a Level 3 (Level 4 would be desirable) Diploma in Small Animal Hydrotherapy including treadmill; possess a Canine First Aid Certificate and have good numeracy and literacy skills (Level 2 or above).
Ideally you will hold a Pool Plant Operator Certificate or be willing to work towards this as training can be provided.
You will need to be committed to the highest standards of animal welfare, health and safety practice and have experience with pool water management.
