Receptionist posts - a mixture of full and part time hours available.

This new role sits within the Student Services Directorate of Nottingham College and will be based on one of our campuses working collaboratively with cross college departments and the directorates various facets such as Careers Advisers, Student Wellbeing, Student safeguarding and Additional learning support teams to provide a warm welcome to college campuses, face to face and over the telephone. This important role will ensure that all visitors to the college receive an outstanding customer service, both welcoming and supportive, signposting to relevant solutions whilst providing outstanding administrative services to support the wider student services department.

As we continue to improve the student journey to ensure ease of access and improved services for students we are seeking highly motivated, positive and forward thinking individuals to help us achieve our ambitions.

Are you passionate about the welfare of our students and everyone accessing the college? Are you looking for a front facing role which promotes safeguarding, inclusion and health & safety from the first point of contact? Do you possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to utilise these with a wide range of students/ visitors/ colleagues demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times sometimes dealing with upsetting and challenging situations?

Do you have experience in the following?

•Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and Verbal)

Working in a complex and diverse student/customer focused environment

•A good standard of administrative skills

•Dealing with challenging & difficult people situations with empathy and professionalism

•Highly effective organisation and prioritisation skills

•Accurate ability on a range of IT packages ideally including large corporate databases

•Flexible working as part of a team

You should have a confident outgoing personality, who will provide an excellent service supporting students to navigate the college and signposting to more specialist teams as required including student advisors and other services to give students the best possible experience throughout the student journey at Nottingham College.

You could be expected to work at any of our 8 campuses but will have a core base for most of the year.

You will utilise your excellent administration skills whilst working collaboratively with a range of other professional services, particularly security, estates services, the wider student services team and curriculum colleagues to ensure the service provided is outstanding and meets the needs of all of its diverse customers.
