Role 1 is Fixed term until April 2022.
Role 2 is Permanent and full Year.
WHAT WE DO
The SEND team are looking to hire a SEND Support Lead (maternity cover). We believe in supporting the students both in the classroom and outside of it so that they can achieve their full potential. We are looking to recruit a SEND Support Lead who will work closely with our SENDCOs to plan, deliver and review EHCP and SEN Support Plans. You should have excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working with students who require additional support. You must want to work with young people who have learning difficulties and/ or learning disabilities.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- You will oversee a caseload of High Needs and SEND students to ensure the smooth transition and positive learning experience of these students whilst at LCC.
- You will lead and manage a team of LSAs and ensure the best practice of support for students is maintained.
- You will work collaboratively with Curriculum staff, SEND team and external agencies as required.
- You will be the first point of contact on a daily basis between the SEND Team and Curriculum areas.
YOUR PROFILE
- You will be a supportive, team player who puts the students' needs first.
- You will have experience of working within a team who support students who have High Needs or SEND to support their learning through identifying strategies and preparing young people for adulthood.
- You will have excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to a fast paced learning environment.
