Work Placement Co-ordinator (Full time and Part time)

We have great opportunities based at our Shuttleworth campus for Work Placement Co-ordinators to become key members of our Land Based Directorate.  The Directorate provides courses in the following subjects: agriculture, horticulture, countryside, fisheries, animal management, equine, floristry, and outdoor adventure.

As a Work Placement Co-ordinator, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

  • Ensuring work placement opportunities are provided to all levels of student across the land and environment and animal sciences curriculum.
  • Ensuring employers are fully committed and able to provide relevant supervision in a healthy and safe environment
  • Working closely with the animal sciences and land and environment teams to generate high quality work placement opportunities

Our ideal candidates will have knowledge of the Land Based Sector and the range of opportunities available, and experience of handling enquiries and contacting employers and external agencies, alongside the following qualifications:

  • Level 3/4 (or equivalent) in a land-based subject
  • English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent
  • Willingness to work towards health and safety in the workplace qualifications

23.4 hours per week (0.6 FTE) / 52 weeks per year

273 hours holiday per annum, pro rata

Actual salary £12,484.80 per annum

35.1 hours per week (0.9 FTE) / 52 weeks per year

273 hours holiday per annum, pro rata

Actual salary £18,727.20 per annum

We will also consider this for an Associate position.

An Enhanced DBS check will be required and you will be required to declare any convictions, cautions, reprimands or final warnings, which would not be filtered in line with current guidance.
